Community Development
Title: Community Development Director
Phone: 313-387-2785

Michele Mancini is no stranger to Redford Township.   Born and raised in the township with long-standing family ties to this community, she called Redford home for over 35 years, where she raised her children.

She began her career with Redford Township in 2011 as a Project Manager for the Community Development Department.  Within four years, she was promoted to Community Improvement Administrator in 2015.

With experience as a builder and realtor, she helped administer the SNAP program which promotes homeownership and provides quality affordable housing for Redford Township.  The SNAP program renovates and sells remodeled homes to owner-occupants and demolishes severely blighted properties.  Additionally, she also helped manage capital improvement projects throughout Redford.

Michele loves her job and the services she provides to residents, including securing grants, low-interest home improvement loan projects, neighborhood stabilization, homebuyer programs, and blight removal.

In March 2023, Mancini accepted her current position as Community Development Director.  In this role, she helps develop a vision and strategy for the residents and businesses to move the community toward a vibrant future while participating in community festivals, events, and other Redford Township attractions.
