Public Services
The Public Services Department is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Township Water and Sewer Department, the Building and Safety Engineering Department, and the Central Maintenance Department. The Public Services Department also enforces compliance with statutes, ordinances, codes, and resolutions adopted by the Township Board of Trustees and coordinates special projects as designated by the Township Board. In addition, the Public Services Department provides auxiliary services to the Site Committee, Planning Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals. The staffing for this Department includes 1 director and 1 administrative assistant.

Michael Dennis
DirectorMike Dennis has been with Redford Township for 27 years. He currently fills the essential role of the Department of Public Services. Mike previously served as the director of Community Development for 18 years, and Public Services for four.
Redford Township is the community that Mike was raised in, and he says he loves the opportunity to give back. He calls Redford Township his happy place, and the work is always rewarding. Prior to joining Redford’s team, he earned a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s from Wayne State.
One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments with the Township is the establishment of new housing redevelopment programs to provide increased homeownership opportunities to residents. In the future, he aims to continue offering positive programs that provide opportunities to residents and businesses alike. He hopes to continue working with partners to move Redford Township forward and into the 21st Century.
