The Parks & Recreation Department maintains fifteen parks and provides a great many recreation programs for all ages, including Glenhurst Golf Course on Six Mile, east of Beech Daly.
Our Community Center at 12121 Hemingway has many activities for young people and for senior citizens (hot lunch programs, classes of all kinds) throughout the year. Call 387-2788 if you would like to receive the Senior Newsletter.
We have an excellent Police Department, located at 25833 Elsinore, telephone number for routine calls is 387-2500. Our Fire Department is one of the finest, providing fire protection as well as an emergency medical service, telephone number for routine calls is 387-2625.
Emergency calls should be made to 9-1-1.
The Department of Public Works and the Wayne County Road Commission, work together to maintain our roads. We have a number of unpaved streets that have chloride applications to control the dust during the summer months. Our DPW maintains the Township facilities, tree chipping services and assists Wayne County in maintaining street signs.If you have any questions about our services, please call.
