In early January, Tim and his wife, Honey, will begin a 6 month sabbatical in South Africa where they will volunteer their time to make a small contribution to a country that they have been connected to since Tim was an exchange student there in 1963. Tim describes his experience with Sister Cities International as an opportunity to work with "absolutely amazing people...we will stay connected in the years ahead through this wonderful network and organization." The Board of Directors has retained an executive search firm to assist in recruiting a new Executive Director and appointed Lynn Olson as Acting Executive Director beginning December 4, 2006.
