The Finance Department is responsible for managing the township's financial resources by working with all department directors. The Finance Director oversees the daily operations of accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll, including the supervision of their respective information systems.
An Annual Budget Report is prepared for all funds expended by the township to present a picture of township government operations and set the appropriations for the fiscal year. Budget study sessions are open to the public providing citizens an opportunity to observe the deliberation process. The Township Board of Trustees conducts an annual public hearing each March to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the annual budget prior to its approval.
The Finance Department is responsible for the annual fiscal year end financial statements that are audited by the independent audit firm of Plante Moran CPA's. The Finance Director also provides quarterly budget status reports to the Board.
