Public Skate Schedule Public skating and drop-in hockey will resume again after Labor Day. Weekend Open Skate will resume the weekend of September 24, 2004. Weekdays $2.00 per person Weekends $3.00 for children $4.00 for adults $1.50 for seniors Skate Rental $2.00 At all times.

It is time to start thinking about next session already. We are very excited to bring you new and exciting changes to the program this year. HERE IS WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR:

• Group lessons offered on Saturday Morning!!!
• Group Open Skating for group lesson participants only!!!
• Stroking and Endurance class for All Skaters from Alpha Level & Up.
• Parent/Tot (age 3yrs to 5 yrs old) Mondays Daytime

Registration

All registrations will be first come, first served and must be done at the Redford Ice Arena. No phone or mail-in registrations will be accepted. REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED IN FULL. A $20 fee will be charged for returned checks. A $10 fee will be charged for cancellations up to the first week. Absolutely no refunds will be given after the second class.

Group Lessons

GROUP LESSON CLASS FEE:	$45.00 per student for the 7-week session (classes are 30 min. per week).
MONDAY GROUP LESSONS:	$39 per student for 6-week session (NO CLASS JAN 17 Martin L King)
SATURDAY GROUP LESSON:	$39.00 per student for the 7-week session (classes are 25 min. per week)
PARENT/TOT CLASS FEE:	$52.00 includes both parent and tot for the 7-week session
GROUP OPEN PRACTICE FEE:	$14 Group Open Skating Drop In Fee: $3
SKATE RENTAL:	$14.00 for the 7-week session. Come early for first class to be fitted for skates.

GROUP CLASSES OFFERED

Stroking/Endurance – Beta and up, fundamentals of proper skating and strength training

Pre-Beginner (Basic 1) – First time skaters, ages 3-5

Beginner (Basic 2) – Ages 3-5 that have passed Pre-Beginner

*Pre-Alpha (Basic 3), Alpha (Basic 4), Beta (Basic 5), Gamma (Basic 6, Delta (Basic 7), Freestyle 1 & up, Teens/Adults

Group Open Skating – Group lesson participants only, monitored by instructors

*First time skaters ages 6 & up should register for Pre-Alpha

Helmets are required for all students ages 5 & under, NO EXCEPTIONS. Bicycle Helmet OK. If the student does not have a helmet, they will not be allowed on the ice. This is to ensure the safety of the skater.

Schedule of Freestyle & Agility Sessions

For those students taking Private Lessons or wanting extra practice time. Must have passed Alpha level through I.S.I. or above, or in a private lesson.

Cost is for ICE TIME only. Instructors fee’s are negotiated and handled between the skater and the Instructor.

***Parent Volunteers – Discount on Freestyle Session***

We are looking for two (2) Parent Volunteers for each Freestyle session. An Ice Monitor to check the skaters onto the ice and collect any drop-in money, and a tape player to play skater’s music. Parents that sign up for either one of these tasks will receive a 10% discount on the next session fee. This will be on a first come, first served basis. If the volunteer does not fulfill the role, they will be ineligible for the discount.
